Also like to introduce the mini-club. Mini-Session participants will have exclusive access to items even when ordering on full sessions.

Celebrating the start of the mini-club we are excited to introduce twenty new items:  bamboo mounted prints, photo printed playing cards, sleek new rep cards, photo printed notebooks, iPhone binder style case, iPad sleeve, hard iPad case, snap-on iPhone cases, wood napkin holder, coaster set w/ wood base, note holder, wood arched bookends w/ photo display, ladies photo wallet, mens photo wallet, photo purse large / small, messenger bag w/ printed photo flap, photo printed license plate and photo jewelry; metal cuffs.

Another perk- High-res digital copies of images for mini-session participants on mini-session and full session orders are $10 ea.  Regular price $12.00 ea.

I haven’t died, I swear.

Above is the view from the end of my old driveway.  Taken with my iphone4s using Hipstamatic app.

Lots of changes in the MSP office.  For one, it’s location or rather for now my location.  I’ve been moving across town and my office has remained at my parents.  I’m currently without internet so I’m running my office out of their home.  Soon there will be a studio / bathroom and an office in the basement of my new home for full functional operations!  I’m very excited about this transition.  First step though is getting the internet to come to my new woodsy haven.
Above is the pond out front of my new home / soon to be studio / office.

In between that I’m working on several clients and making memories last forever.  Also planning next years incentives, advertising, and general game plan.  Preparing for a vendor show in December in Owosso Michigan with some very talented company.  Trying to come up with a versatile print to offer as a door prize for the show.  I thought about giving a free session coupon as the door prize  but an associate pointed out that something they could take home and own right away would be more appealing and I have to say after she brought it up, I agree.

So much office work to be done that I haven’t had time to touch my camera much this summer but I will capture my new surroundings before it gets too cold to do so.  Hopefully my studio is built by the time the weather drastically changes so my work doesn’t skip a beat.

I promise to get back to the helpful blogging stuff as soon as I have time, I just have to get a few clients finished and then I can concentrate more on the underbelly of things.  Please hang in there, I appreciate all of my followers.  Next post will have some more clone tips for you!  Stay tuned!

Studio Space Rental.

Just some sharing while looking for places to shoot I found a very helpful spot.

For any photographers in need of studio space in the lower michigan area, check out the Photo Studio Group in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Pending on your needs possibly a better solution than renting a hotel / motel room and using natural lighting from a window.

Work Breaks and Edits.

I have had an exhausting weekend, I’ve really been hauling trying to make up for the few hours of free time I took yesterday.  I would have had everything under control if an email hadn’t came along with more “important” information (photos to be isolated) attached for the project I had ready to fall into place in the morning, also due in the afternoon.  Though they would prefer it monday it might be at their later convenience on tuesday due to the last minute additions and last minute reply of what exactly were the most important items to be displayed on the advertisement.

I realize at some point I’m going to have to make it clear that these type of last minute communications are not welcome and will in the future be left from the final product.  (I will and should enforce a 48 hour rule, stating that 48 hours before the due date no changes can be sent to me, any changes desired should be edited on their time from the product given with the information given in the original transactions).  This is all apart of taking control of your business, however setting up my new office has me more than occupied and other things are falling to the side lines, waiting to be addressed.

Soon I hope to have all back in order.

I edited some photo’s when I thought I was done with office work this morning (I’ve worked more than two thirds of my day away already).  I clearly should have checked my email before venturing into free photoshop time but I regret not the fruits of my playtime.

This is the fruits of a TFP session I did with a friend not too far from home.  This will be a great example for my TFP blog post (still coming soon).

Shown is a split version of two separate edits.

I welcome any questions on execution and processing.

I’m off to run some errands and tie up my night as quickly as possible so I can be up early in the morning to finish advertising work, and prepare for tomorrows meeting with Heather Nash from HMN photography.  Tomorrow is a very long day that I’ve been preparing all weekend for.  Tune in tomorrow (or tuesday if I don’t have the time) to find out what happens, more photo’s, and eventually that TFP blog post.

For now, please leave your own comments in advance with your views on TFP, I would really like to pull from some readers opinions to round out my own article.
